Not actually a bean at all (beans being seeds from the family Fabaceae, also known as Leguminosae), the Mexican Jumping Bean is the seed pod of a shrub called Sebastiania pavoniana that has been implanted with larva from the Laspeyresia saltitans (also called Cydia deshaisiana) moth.

I’ve been tracking my calories for years now, so here are some calorie tracking tips PART 4 π₯
NUTTAB π
If you didn’t know, most if not all food items in calorie tracking apps are all user created which is why you can find a lot of incorrect food items.
If you’re trying to look for something that doesnt have a nutritional label, then the Australian Food Composition Database will be the most accurate website to grab the calories from.
Luckily, most food items on there have already been put into the food libraries so all you’d need to do is search up the food item and put the word “nuttab” after it.
For example:
“Chicken breast raw nuttab”
If you still can’t find the food item you are looking for, then you can find the complete list on the Australian Food Composition Database website itself.
Once you find the food item you are looking for, most food calorie tracking apps should let you create your own custom food item to let you create the new food you found!
This should save the food item in your food library and allow you to reuse it without having to go back to the website to look for it ππΌ
